Aka Grumpy old man. Chef has always been arrogant and haughty but he just seems to be getting worse and worse. He's completely off his blood pressure meds now and has gone back to his own routine of drinking and eating whatever he wants.
The last couple of days have been crazy. DH is deployed but has wifi coverage so we can talk and email every day- just so you have that tidbit for this story.
BM (38) just had another baby last week. She has a 20 y/o son, SD14, and now a newborn. All different fathers. She is currently living with the boyfriend, but has no plans of getting married and still has DHs last name.
I try to avoid interaction at all costs with SD, but we were stuck in the car together yesterday. She made multiple random comments about BM...
- She was sooooo sick while she was pregnant, IDK how she had a big baby
- I was only 7 pounds, IDK how ____ was a whopping 9 pounds!
- and something else I can't even remember.
I haven't posted rencently as things have been improving. But now travel ball has started and it will be another hurdle. For a quick recap SS ,almost 16, is entitled and disrespectful, but this is caused by bios and grandparents. Last year after the travel ball season SS was told he could stay on the team if him and the bios agreed that he would only pitch. He can't bat after 12 years of playing ball. His travel team has some really good players. He is the worst on the team. Also SS has lost his core group of friends because they don't want to be around him any longer.
Well, Princess Popcorn had her surgery last week and it went well. The only problem was later that afternoon when the vet checked her temperature. It was lower than it needed to be, which was probably due to the anesthesia. The vet offered to take her home with her and monitor her. She also took home a machine called a bair hugger, which kept my little fur Princess warm. So Princess Popcorn had a sleepover at the vet's house.
I feel like a emotional wreck .The fact I have spent 5 years of my life raising SD 14 doing all the motherly duties which includes the whole school run with the help of husband but still me mainly doing it ...Yes she she lives with me full time
What I mean by emotional wreck is the fact we have all been through it before as Step parents we put all our hard work work and do not get recognized for it ..
In my situation SD had her middle school graduation it went fine at first but then you have the BM who has not done anything for the past 5 years show up yep
So, this is the last week of school and SS13 is with us. This evening, he announced to DH, "My mom said I don't have to go to school Friday."
Again, it's DH's week. So nice of her to make that unilateral decision.
DH's company doesn't work Fridays, so he was annoyed, but just shrugged it off. He said, "if I say no, I'm the bad guy. And BM will just offer to get him for the day."
I swear, her presumption and overstepping is getting worse.
Just a trip down nightmare lane when I first started dealing with stanch Disneyland Dad and his "if I can't come first 100 percent then my spawns will come first over your serious relationships" mentally unstable breeder.
I remember this itchB traipsing back in town with her spawns, moving 5 minutes away, then pretending like she couldn't parent her kids. Nothing was wrong with her except Disneyland Dad enabled her trifling behavior "for the sake of those kids".
So after numerous promises to step up and parent his kids which he largely did, he still couldn't set boundaries with his ex so I've set my own, I'm walking away.
Background: Husband, 2 bios, 3 steps
I didn't realize how much my steps hated me until they were grown. I swear I have PTSD from having them as step kids. I physically get ill when it comes to them.
