pile of laundry still sitting there

Dh didn't notice the laundry and SS didn't ask him to do it.....so its still sitting there. Dh works all day today (he was off yesterday) and doesn't get in until bedtime so it so t get done today either. No idea what SS is doing for school uniforms, he must be re-wearing dirty clothes because we only bought him ten uniforms.

Its nice when the universe takes care of a problem for you :)

The old laundry issue. Ss11 hasn't brought clothes to be washed in two weeks. Skipped last weekend entirely....and onl brought his two weeks worth of dirty clothes to the laundry room at bed time last night. Sux for him because I don't do laundry during the week. So its going to sit.

Update on my "Trip Dilemma"

Apparently he got the date of the ppv party mixed up and its during Trip 1, not trip 2. So me and the boys are gone that weekend regardless. On the bright side he already canceled on his friend....so either way he was going to come on beach vaca with the family. That made me feel good. No idea if he's going to take SS to the party or if he will find someone to watch him, or if he's just going to stay home now that he's canceled. Not my problem at this point.

Why is he always in the way?

Venting this here in the hopes that I don't snap at home.

For some reason, ss11 seems to constantly be right where I am trying to go. I don't know if its on purpose, or if this kid just has the worst luck.

I get up for work at 6am. I get me and my two boys ready for work/school and we leave the house at 620. SS doesn't get on his bus until 8:15. So no real reason for him to be up and all around were bs4 and I are getting ready....be has plenty of time to get ready after we leave.

At what age do boys typically "get their shit together"?

SS11 is the oldest kid in the house, so its hard for me to judge sometimes what is normal behavior for a boy his age, and when he's behind. Every year his teachers comment on how immature he is and he really has to be pushed to progress in any area....he is very comfortable just sticking to the status quo.

SS11 came home on Friday, and i am already at the end of my patience :(

I think dh asked me 15 times this weekend what was wrong and was I upset or was I mad....or commented that I seemed agitated. And I do feel bad about that.... But I'm sorry, my home and family has been invaded again. To him its just his other child coming home and the family is complete again.... But to me, our family was complete all summer and now I have an ungreatful house guest that I have to cater to and clean up after. A house guest that I dont want, but that never leaves.
