I wasn't yesterday mind...

So , we are taking ss12 on this long haul holiday.

This has given bm reason to get in touch many, many times.. at this point not sure If she's trying spoil everything or got the worst case of ocd. Anyways, 6 messages at least have requested we provide a suitcase for him,  (what Is your problem bm?!) So finally we ask What happened to the suitcase he's got?

It's too small.

Right so you're not going to buy him another for when he more frequently holidays with you?

No answer.

So eff it, I buy him a 2nd hand suitcase set of fb. Go collect it.

Dh has a look and says , ohhh Sad they're a bit old fashioned Sad I don't think he'll like them Sad

Are you actually serious ?!! Are you telling me ss would be snobbish over a suitcase when he's going on a long haul holiday? Or Is it your secret snobbery you dnt want him or bm to see its 2nd hand? Whatever I dnt care.

This weekend,  I was entertaining dd while dh got on with some jobs . Big ones I thought ,like we need some concrete laying...

Recently a guest left a lovely looking but filthy suitcase in our annexe, I thought it was binned...well there's no concrete being laid, dh is up in the loft then out in the yard, jet washing the flipping suitcase !!!! I can't speak at this point,  I'm out. I simply said good luck drying it , it'll probably not dry and stink.

Now dh works at a car dealership smart repairing cars.. which requires mild to moderate industrial heaters I guess

He has just messaged me to say ' I put the suitcase in the oven , and it's baking OK, it really is '

I am absolutely howling laughing.  I've just got to. I hope ss and bm appreciate this suitcase , if it survives

My DH also liked to be frugal.  I remember his older daughter wanted to play field hockey.. and of course, this was not her first "sport".. so  he didn't want to kit her out in all new stuff.. so he found a used stick for sale at "play it again".. but she was super tall.. so he and his buddy who builds and repairs boats put a fiberglass extension to the handle.. and wrapped it with tape so it was the right height.

Apparently.. his poor daughter was given a penalty and couldn't use the stick at her first game because it had been "modified"..lol.  I think she quit right after from abject embarassment (she was incredibly self conscious.. and vain).

I got my YSD a set of luggage for her HS graduation... it was a nice purchase that she enjoys still today.  Wasn't super expensive on amazon.

I once took the stepkids to Universal Studios and she was texting from two hours away to try and tell me when to get in and out of the lines for the rides.

garage bag isn't a problem. So he goes high pressure/high temp steralization on the moldy garage bag.

DH has a problem with prioritization... .and..... judgement. Apparently any way.

Please tell you me you enjoyed a nice cocktail as you laughed through this alarmingly comic tale.

smh

Time to cut off BM for the durantion on the vacation trip.
