Well I just want to let you all know that it was so nice to take SS and BS on vacation and no drama...Everyone had fun. We went on the Disney cruise for Christmas and it was a good time. I was so worried about SS13 and his anti-social behavior with my family. But, DH deflected any problems by threatening loss of the XBox everytime he balked about taking pictures. I got a lot of good ones suitable for framing. Threats of Xbox have the most impact on this kid...My mom was so happy and it was a great trip for all the grandchildren.

Well, yesterday she called DH at work and wanted to discuss the agreement that the lawyers waited so long to finalize. DH refused to give her SS13 for the holiday. Said she could have him on Friday at 6 for her standard visitation. She didn't understand. He explained several things about why SS didn't want to be with her yet again. She always deflects it when we tell her what bothers SS. DH explained all of the following things as new problems:

DH and I had a huge blowup on Tuesday AM over BM and her taking SS out of the state again on her weekend. The kid actually fell asleep in the car on Friday night and woke up Saturday morning alone in a hotel room. She had a triathalon and had to go...She let SD15 take a friend and they were hanging in the lobby playing on the internet...Of course!

I was talking to my girlfriend who I used to always think was too permissive with her daughter. Well she told me she and her daughter talk all the time and recently they had a great conversation but it was too much information for mom. She calculated that her 19 year old daughter already had had 8 sexual partners. That seemed really high to me, but maybe I am old fashioned. I remember when her daughter was 12 or 13 and I was shocked that she allowed her to have a boyfriend and he was allowed in her room.
