Inspired by Colorado Girl "You're Not Special" blog...

I read CG's Blog (which I did not agree with by the way - I think CG YOU ARE FANTASTIC!!)... but I was struck by 2 things....

1. CG's feelings of not being special and even though she understands it needs to come from within, struggling with giving herself that boost, as well as "needing" that boost from others.

2. That everyone jumped in to tell Colorado Girl just how special she truly is!! And I agreed with them. I think that CG is wise, and I don't need to see her physically to know she is beautiful - inside and out!

The week before my husband was supposed to come home... and I am on my way back from SD getting diagnosed with H1N1...

I get a phone call.

My 76 year old father fell off a scaffold. 6-7 feet in the air. Working on siding on a rental property he has with my sister.

Luckily the neighbor saw him and his co-worker fall off the scaffold and called 911. The ambulance took his co-worker... but my father refused to go! He hit his head, but said he was "fine".

Hi my friends!! I just wanted to say hi and that I am thinking about all of you. I hope you are all doing well.

Things have been tough here. Besides the Mediation Drama that DH and BM are going through...

SD was diagnosed with H1N1 2 weeks ago. She is okay now though.

Here's 2 sites I go to once in a while for some legal advice, without having to pay for an attorney. It just lets me know if I am thinking on the right track or not.

Or am I just weird?

I'm very much into music, so I find music very comforting for different times in my life.

Like here's one song, that I have felt I have been on both sides of... One, me trying to change someone I loved (very unsuccessfully, I may add) ... and the same song where I knew someone was trying to change me... but they couldn't ... no matter how hard they tried...

Do you have any songs that you would consider to be on "Ipod of Your Life"?

Do NOT read if you are not in the mood for a "happy" message!

Believe me... that's not a jab at anyone. I have been in a dark place a lot recently and I have been skipping some happy empathetic posts lately!! What does that say when one of the professed "rainbows and butterflies" club is ready to down some margaritas and take out an uzi??? Hmmm....

And then... I read Katrinkle's response to CG's "Dreaming" blog.

Katrinkle had come to a place where she realized that NOTHING was going to MAKE her happy. So she made a "decision" to live a happy life.

OK ladies (and gents) some help please... (SMNikki??) :)

As per my previous blog, we had never changed the custody agreement from when it was 50/50, even though SD started living with us last year. Now DH may try to get BM to see the Mediator to make this new change "legal in the eyes of the law". Ugh!!

Anyway, I am preparing some materials for my husband for mediation. SMNikki - I know you said you helped your DH prepare some things and that he looked "very professional"!!

What I am looking for advice on is this...
