Wow. It is amazing how much I miss my wife and kid.

Thanks in advance for letting me go on a man-pout session.

I have been in Qatar for a week. This is my first extended business trip in ~5yrs. This trip has highlighted how amazing the family situation my wife, son (SS) and I have developed.

We really do thrive off of the interface we have with each other.

The kid passed his Sr project presentation the second time around.

So, he has only regular course work and a couple of term papers to go and he will graduate. (knock on wood and cross your fingers).

My wife is on her own with him for two weeks while I am in Qatar working on a business proposal.

We shall see if she has disposed of his body when I get home in a couple of weeks.

The Skid's Report Card ------- HONOR ROLL WTF??????

So, last night I checked the mail when I got home. The Skid's report card was in the box. I opened the envelope and burst out laughing. Whay you may wonder ....... he made the high honor role GPA of 3.58.

My wife pops in the room and asks what is so funny. I handed her the report and she turned purple and started her "I am gonna kill that damned kid" mantra. She had to have repeated it 4 or 5 times.

She was more mad at him for making the honor role than she was when he flunked out of Boarding School (Military) at Christmas time.

So, my Brother flew in from Singapore on a last minute business trip last week. Dad called and asked it I could fly home (Mom and Dad's is always home) to spend the weekend with my Baby Bro. I dumped some frequent flier miles and spend Th - Mon at Mom and Dads with just Mom, Dad, little bro and I. This is only the second time since we both married 16yrs ago that the origninal Rags clan has been together without spouses and the sucubi (4Grand Kids).

We had a great Rags weekend. Spending time with my bro and parents is a great recharge for all of us I think.

....... and now the anger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, right when I was in a prideful and pretty good place with my kid (SS) he proves beyond any doubt, once again, that he is the spawn of the SpermIdiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing this lazy and worthless could have possibly sprung from my loins. Which was never in question since I met his Mom when he was 1yo.

While I was writing my previous blog he went upstairs to call his Mom and discuss the afternoon and the plan for Springbreak. Once I posted my blog I went up to find out about the discussion.

Pride, heartbreak and hope for the Skid.

Well ..... this afternoon our Son (my SS) made his senior project presentation to the assessment panel at school. I left work early to be there to watch. He was nervous and asked if I would wait in the hall while he gave his presentation. No problem Kid-Doh. So I waited in the hallway.

After his presentation he came out to wait for his scores. In conversation he indicated that he felt pretty good about his product and his project portfolio but was nervous about the presentation.

Will there be Spring Break visitation or won't there??????? Will the kid survive the wrath of Mom?

So,our Son (my SS) is on the glide path to HS graduation. It is touch and go as to whether he will graduate or not. His grades are good but the 10,000 pound elephant in the room is his Sr project. He turned in the research component of the assignement and passed. The whole project is P/F and is not assigned a grade.

I was skimming some threads and found this little nugget of wisdom from one of our own Stalkers.

Wow, with people and wisdom like this, how can StepParents get labeled and saddled with the contempt that many feel for us?

It is easy to be one of the good guys when our community comes up with stuff like this.

Like clock work the previsitation idiot virus has flared up in my Son (SS-17).

Sleeping through his alarm. Missing school. Failing to turn in assignments. Getting lippy with his Mom and I. Not doing his chores. Not doing his laundry. Not showering or effectivly cleaning himself. Etc ..........................

He starts this crap exactly 3wks before each and every SpermClan visitation. He has been doing it since he was 1yo (age appropriately of course). Grrrrrr!

I am leaving my wife!!!!!!!!

.......... at least for a month or two!!!!!!! I got a promotion and a transfer to the regional HQ office. My wife is a CPA and it is tax season so she cannot move until after April 15th and our Son is a Sr in HS and graduates the last WE in May so the movers will pack us up in June.

I start the new job on April 1 so I will once again be a full time road warrior for few months. Once we relo then I will be traveling domestically and internationally about 25% of the time which means any where from 1-2 days each week to 1-2wks out of 6wks depending on destination.
