Have you disengaged from one Skid but not the other?

I have had more than my fill of SS. His constant whining and ruining every outing was already too much, but his behavior to me since school let out is the straw that broke this camels back.

The kid is now not speaking to me unless he wants something. He walks in the door right past me and doesn't acknowledge I'm even in the room. Then, less than 2 minutes later is asking for something.

Girls and Puberty

It's been a loooong three weeks with the Skids (and we only have them Fri-Sun)

Ever since SD11 started her period for the first time three weeks ago, she is turning into a different person.

I'm not so naïve that I didn't know that the terrible teen years were fast approaching, but I figured it would be a more gradual slide into teen hell.

SD is usually a very sweet, good natured kid. She goes with the flow and is super easy to get along with. The complete opposite of SS.

The week she "become a woman" (as she has been calling it) we went to Disney.

OT-Guy At Work

New guy at work is really starting to bother me.

He has been hitting on me. He knows I have a fiancé because my SO comes to lunch with me every day and I TOLD him I'm with someone.

Every time I would go out to lunch he would (in a whining voice) ask me why I didn't invite him.

Finally, I got sick of it and told him "I go to lunch EVERY day with my SO. You and I will never be going to lunch together"

He finally stopped asking that but won't stop other stuff.

I should be used to being the fall guy after 6yrs but....

SO sent me a text today saying that SD wanted a friend to come over this weekend. I responded "Ok, to spend the night?"

SO: I don't know. I told her I would talk to you first.

When I saw SO at lunch, I said "It would be really nice if SD had a friend over"

SO: Well, SD was apprehensive to ask. You know because of the way you are.

That totally pissed me off. Because of the way I am?

Neither SS9 or SD11 have had a friend. They have never asked to have a friend over. I have never said I don't want their imaginary friends at my house.

I dread getting days off work now.

Our base reached its goals for the year and as a reward active duty have the day off and civilians can take the day off too but have to use leave.

Of course part of me wants to take Friday off and enjoy the day....BUT every time I get a day off, SO thinks I need to get his kids.

I am NOT going to babysit Friday I rather stay at work.

I just know that it's going to cause tension between SO and I because he will be hurt and mad that he didn't get to have his kids an extra day.
