New Dear Abby....No way would I date this guy
It's bad enough having Skids around, but the EX too. O, Heck No.

The funny to the ridicules: What happens when you leave a man home alone for a month.
I returned from my month long work trip last Thursday. This is a compilation of some of the things that totally pissed me off and some that I found really funny.
Before I left SO and I talk about, planned and agreed on him going on vacation with his parents the week I returned for 3 days. The very first day I was gone, I get an text that he has decided to take SD with him. Ok, I wasn't too happy about it because this used to be his and my vacation and I just keep getting pushed more and more to the side.
Back from GA
I'm finally back home after being in GA for a long long month of training.
I missed SO like crazy. I didn't miss Skids at all.
I returned last Thursday and didn't see the kids until last night. SO took them on vacation and I won't see them for another two weeks. I'm very very happy about this.
It's funny because even after not seeing them for a month, I didn't want to go home from work yesterday because I knew they would be at my house. Loud, dirty and pains in the ass.
At least it was only one night and I get another break from them. Phew

SO lives in La La Land
SO and I plan to get married sometime this year...We haven't set a date yet.
I want to buy a house. I'm almost 40 and would like my own home. I'm tired of landlords and want something that I can change and make my own.
We were talking about this the other day and discussing "Must Haves" for this imaginary home we want to buy. SO wants an area to park the boat so we don't have to continue to pay the monthly storage fee on it. Makes sense.

LOLOL, You crack me up SO
I have mentioned a few times on other blogs that I’m leaving Sunday for a month long class in GA.
This class is known to be pretty difficult and is mandatory training for my position.
Because of this, I decided to take Wed-Fri of this week off to relax, spend time with my dogs and pack before my trip.

Finally some good news/OT
Sorry, I just have to brag a little.
I got a great performance bonus and a promotion last week. Getting my degree is really paying off. I'm working on my Master's now and I'm in line to get my co-workers position if she ever retires (she's 63). That will be a huge pay increase.
Finally some good news to drink about. }:)

First weekend of semi-disengaging
Thursday, SO and I had a huge fight where he accused me of disrespecting SS, being rude to SS and hating his kids.
He said I need to learn my place in that house. Fine, I will no longer "take your place" I'm done with anything Skid related. This really pissed him off and more "You hate my kids" bull crap.

OT/Cast Iron Skillet
I bought a cast iron skillet about 6 months ago.
I love, but I can't seem to get it seasoned. Every time I cook with it, stuff sticks to the bottom. Not really bad but more than I expected.
Should I expect food to stick---chicken, eggs, rice?
I know not to use soap, but how do you clean it. My mom told me to use salt. Seems to work good for scrubbing off the stuck food but maybe that is why food is still sticking? (My mom is not good in the kitchen)
Any advice will be great.

This is what happens when SO ignores my opinion
Yesterday leaving the base we were stopped by Security Forces. They were doing random vehicle searches.
During the searches, they ask you for your license, registration and proof of insurance.
I was not AT ALL surprised when SO didn't have his registration or his proof of insurance.
