Ok, I am sooooo effing pissed off.

We are ALL here on holiday.

At home.

OH has to take a weeks leave EVERY school break and 2 weeks in summer to have the skids. So we never have a holiday without them.

They are here this week.

It's ALL of our time. Not just theirs.

But he has literally been upstairs with them ALL DAY. Watching movies and playing games. While my dd's and I sit downstairs.

WTF.

Can we not do these things together? As a family? So far he has spent a good portion of each day alone with them. I'm not talking an hour or two. Most of each fucking day.

Hellweek nearly over..... it's been crap. Literally.

Got up this morning, went to use the downstairs loo (we have three - one upstairs, one downstairs and one in our en suite) because OH was still asleep in our room and all the kids were upstairs.

No-one really uses the downstairs one - guests or if the others are in use.

SD used it last night right before bed. I was in there yesterday and all was "normal" LOL

So... I go in there this morning and there is pooh smeared on the wall - 3 stripes of it.

NOT HAPPY.

Helllooooo :) Hellweek is about to begin!

Give me wine and lots of it.

It's been a good week so far. School holidays here - 2 week winter break.

My dd's have had dance comps - So that's been a flat out 5 days - DD11 Got a first for Neo troupe, 2nd for ballet solo and 3rd for ballet troupe. DD8 - neo, ballet, jazz and tap troupes all placed first - so she's pretty pumped LOL

BM is a bitch (anyone shocked?)

Blog hogging today.

Skids both have birthdays next month. So do OH and I. SS's is very early in the month, mine is the 18th, OH's the 20th and SD's a couple of days after his.

My birthday this year is a Friday, OH's a Sunday. It is supposed to be a skid weekend.

BM texted him a week or so ago and TOLD him she needed to have the kids that weekend as she is having a joint birthday party for them on the Saturday

Ongoing battle of the wills with SD13 - what to do?

Just quickly as I have to go out.

Have been having issues with SD13 - we have a rule of no food upstairs - they tend to leave plates, wrappers, mess and I don't want ants etc or rotting food in the upstairs family room or kids bedrooms.

Have had this rule always, we've been in this house 18 months now.

SD13 KNOWS the rules.

Wednesday afternoons she has been bringing a friend over after school, I say to them EVERY WEEK - no food upstairs.

Seeing changes!! Only 4 days in to being disengaged from OH!

So, after making some small changes yet again OH had reverted back to being - well a man basically LOL

Not talking to me, not discussing changes etc, making plans without me, hanging on the skids every last word and wish, giving up couple time over and over to hang with the step-brats. Yadda yadda yadda same old same old.

So I have been contemplating leaving. Seriously.

Cautiously Optimistic...

Ok, so I know they are only baby steps, but hey = they ARE steps! And ones in the right direction to boot, with NO backsliding thus far!

One happy cat.

To explain. OH is the kind who jumps to it when BM, SD13 and even SS10 snaps their fingers. Anything they ask for he's there, with the obligatory "But they're MY KIDS! MY responsibility!" yada yada yada.

want to hear complaints about BD and CS....

I am sooooo freaking pissed off with this man - my ex husband.

Background. We split. He joined online dating 2 weeks later, met a woman and was "in love" a month later, they bought a house and moved in together 3 months after we split. This was 4 years ago, they are getting married in July - in Italy no less (we live in Australia) No big deal - I like her, she's fine with the kids yada yada yada.

Does anyone else just scratch their head sometimes

and wonder WTF?

My dd's flew interstate to visit their father for a week yesterday.

He has just sent me a random photo of a pair of socks. I think they are dd8's socks - they are ones I bought for her.... just each sock laid out on the bed....

No explanation nothing, just a pic of a pair of socks....

And I sit here and wonder WTF does THAT mean? Is there a hidden message because it's pretty obscure to me..... I don't THINK they were holey????
