Do you ever get mad at something that makes no rational sense?

For example: I share a floor with the training department at my office. Once a month a new group of trainees come in. Yesterday, one of the new group took my seasonal White Chocolate Raspberry creamer out of the fridge and used almost half a bottle. I found it sitting out next to the coffee machine. Rational me thinks it's really not that big of a deal it's a 2.00 coffee creamer but the other part of me is super pissed and wants to write one of those passive aggressive notes and leave it on the fridge.

Instead I hid it.

At what age should skids decide on where to spend holidays?

Our custody agreement is that ever other year we split Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year would be BM's year to have her for Christmas break. BM is also entitled to every other weekend. However, SD17 now drives and has been deciding on her own when to visit her BM. Sometimes she misses a couple of weekends and sometimes she will go two weekends in a row. DH and I don't really care just as long as she lets us know when she is going.

OT/What is a good time for an 8 year old Saturday bday party?

I want to throw DD8 a birthday party on a Saturday in October. Since it is so close to halloween she has requested a halloween themed party which makes it super easy for me to pick up stuff! However, as I am printing up invitations I am worried about the time. I was thinking from 4-7 and include that I will serve pizza and cake. Is this a good time? I read on a website that 2 hours is max and to do it earlier in the day. The only problem is SD17 has a cheer competition in the am so I can't really do earlier.

What do you think?

Please Pray for SD17

Biggrin I rarely ask strangers to pray for us, however, SD17 goes for her driver’s license tomorrow and I need all the divine intervention I can get. She is not bad and I no longer have to grip the dashboard when she is driving. It’s just that she is a newbie and I worry about all the things that can go wrong.

SD is now 17! One More Year

Yesterday was SD17 birthday. It was filled with silly gifts, a giant cookie cake, her favorite meal cooked and Tubby was invited to eat with us also. It was a great night.

DH and I were on the porch drinking a glass of wine and thinking in 365 days from this moment we can officially block BM from our life. No more annoying calls, no more wondering if she will pay CS, we will no longer be obligated to deal with her on a parental level. Everything will go through SD17 and if things get lost in translation along the way oh well not our problem anymore.
