Stay Classy BM

Our BM is once again almost a month late on CS this month again and she agreed in text messages to DH to pay for half of 2 AP tests and SAT's which is about $150.

Prom is also coming up and since SD16 has been working her tail off in school DH and I told her we would help out with the ticket $70 and I offered to pay for her hair and nails. She borrowed a pretty dress from a friend that is both cute and doesn’t' show her boobs like I was worried about. I don't mind she is a good kid and her last report card she made the "gold" honor roll.

It's Friday!! What time is it ok to start drinking wine?

I am thinking 4:30 with a nice glass of merlot on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, catching up on The Walking Dead. (DD7 is going to Nana's for the night)

I am annoyed with DH today so I hope he goes and plays poker with his buddies tonight. I am not getting out of my fuzzy pants once I get home.

SD16 Car-what is fair as far as paying

DH and I have decided that we are going to buy SD16 a car. Nothing expansive we are thinking at the most $5000. We just want something with reasonable miles on it and that can get her safely to work, school, practice and back. She gets no say in the car. I personally think an old school crown Vic would serve her well. That way if she hits a tree she will probably just bounce off of it. Smile

Last night SD16's cheer team won county championships. It was a huge win for them and SD16 was beyond excited and really proud of herself (as DH and I were also). My Mom, Stepdad, DH, and DD7 were all there to cheer her on of course BM was too busy to make the 45 minute drive to actually watch one of her kids.

In all my excitement about the prospect of BM moving I forgot another hum dinger.

Text Messages

DH: Can you please let me know when you are going to send the child support payments for Dec and January? Also, you agreed to split drivers ed with us so I will need $175 to cover your half. I can send you the information regarding the class if you need it.

BM: (three days later at 2 am) I have decided to deposit my child support payments into an account that I opened for SD16. This is just for her.

BM is moving out of State

SD16 informs us that BM and her herd are going to be moving out of state to Indiana once she graduates from high school. I took all I had not to pull over the car and do cartwheels down the interstate in celebration.

I wonder who is going to clean out the trailer, take the goats, the 25 trailer raised tilapia she has been keeping in the trailer (with the intent to sell them of course), and the 3 cars currently on cinder blocks in the front driveway?

I would like to extend my apologies to those of you who live in Indiana.

After reading all the responses I decided to go and meet her on Friday after work and before I have to pick up SD16 from cheer practice. That way I only have a limited amount of time to chat with her. When I called her back I told her that I was step mom (she knew) and that I would be happy to meet with her.

As far as the kids having sex goes...No one can ever say for certain but I know at our house and Tubby's house they are restricted to main living areas. However, I am not foolish enough to think that it won't or hasn't happened.
