Update-BM lost her freaking mind

DH and I sat down with SD16 last night and were very open about the texting war that went back and forth between DH and BM. We explained our position to SD16 about the money and the car. SD16 handled it very well. She claims she hasn't spoken to BM about the car or received any texts from her. I don't know if I 100% believe her but at least she knows our side of the story. DH did say he shouldn't have resorted to calling her names and that was immature of him. SD16 says that BM calls him names all the time behind his back that are a lot worse than moron.

BM has lost her freaking mind!! I am so fired up

Today's gem of a text from BM:

We would like to get SD16 a car. White trash step dad would like to add 1000 to her savings and I have given her 300 toward it for Christmas and I plan to give another 300 towards it for her birthday. I think out of all of us white trash step dad is the best able to detect a good car since he has so much experience working on them. How much have you saved for her car? We can start looking now and have something picked out and paid for in time for her getting her license.

My optimistic DH thinks that BM will send 2 months worth of CS this weekend when she brings SD16 home on Sunday.

I think he is crazy.

This is the same BM who would call DH on the 1st of each month demanding to know where her CS was. She would go on about how expensive it is to raise her child. Now I find it very humorous that SD16 is now three times as expensive as she was even two years ago but BM is two months late again on CS.

BM Shows up for Prom Pictures-Mom of the Year

SD16 looked beautiful for Prom night. We got her hair done, nails done, and her dress was just perfect. As she was getting ready she receives a text from BM that she was on her way. This was an hour before Tubby was supposed to pick her up so she had plenty of time to get to the house to take a few pictures and be on her way.

I am trying to be diplomatic about this.

SD16's BF (Tubby) has been driving for about a year now and recently was able to drive with other non family members is the car. Here in MD you have to wait a certain amount of time before they can drive non-family. Tubby is a good kid who we have gotten to know fairly well over the last few months. He drives SD16 around and we don't have a problem with it.

SD16 tells me last night that BM will "try" to make it to take pictures and see her and her BF (Tubby) all fancy for Prom night. Hooray me! I just love when BM comes over and inserts herself into my house. I understand that this is her kid and all but I highly doubt she will get off the couch long enough to make the hour long drive to take pictures.

This is how my Saturday is looking.

6:30 am-wake up and make SD16 eat a good breakfast.

7:00-pick up Tubby and drop both of them off at school for SAT's

Dear SD16,

It's time for you to pull your head out of your butt and start thinking ahead for your future. Your drivers test is scheduled for June 13th which means you should be driving with your Dad or I every day until then because lord knows you still have no clue what you are doing. It shouldn't be our responsibility to wake you up at 5:30 on a Monday to take you driving.
