SD now has her treadmill

all is right with the world.

So here is what is funny. I get a call yesterday late afternoon from SO. He's on his way home from work early. There was a miscommunication with the skids and BM. SO said he'd bring the treadmill this past sunday, BUT SS said mom says its going to rain.

SO gets to drop off and there is sdad and BM with a truck. Where's the treadmill? BM actually told SS its NOT raining we will pick it up. Whatever.

Then SO tells SS and SD I will bring it next friday when I pick you up for visitation. Also finding out that SS has forgotten a new piece of sport exercise equipment (easily portable, just forgot it). Suddenly, SS says on sunday I thought you were bringing the treadmill tomorrow night (monday)?? At this point, none of this makes sense to me. Anyways, back to my Monday afternoon phone call from SO, "I have to take the treadmill to SD and bring the thing SS forgot" Seriously? Whatever I say nothing. I'm disengaged.

Its a 2 hour drive there and back. SO asks if I will ride along with him, since its such a long drive. I take work with me to do in the car. I am not liking the idea of seeing BM or SD. I told SO if its going to take a while its awkward if I just sit in the car. NO I'm dropping off and then we are leaving.

Basically what happens on our way, SO and SS have two phone conversations which seem to demonstrate the following:
-No one told BM we were coming
-No one planned for this even though SS and SD said they were expecting dad to bring this stuff last night.
-It is not clear if anyone will be there when we we get there.

SO gets frustrated and tells SS if no one is there, we are leaving it on the porch and going. I have to go. GOOD!

We get there and only sdad is there. He comes out (always friendly) and helps bring the stuff in, then we leave. Skids aren't there. This stuff that's soooooo important and dad just dragged a heavy treadmill out of the basement and put in his truck by himself and drove 2 hours! Skids aren't even there. SD is at a tanning appt with BM and SS is at the gym playing ball.

I said, I hope you get a good father's day present after all this. He says "I'd do it for ours too. I guess it doesn't matter."

Yeah, ours is going to know how to show gratitude properly.

At least I only had to see sdad. He's the only one out of them I can stand.

I am not sure what he thought. He didn't say a lot. I just left it alone. I can't imagine it didn't bother him.

with the price of gas I would have sent the important sport item in the mail for next day delivery and told SD to run around the block. that is insane.

Look at it this way, BM and SD are going to either get skin cancer from the tanning or look prematurely aged....Worst thing they can do is go to tanning beds....
