Shocking event over the weekend
Well last week we had all hell break loose with SD11, this week we had our demon child forget all about how she behaved. For once DH did not forget and she was served a consequence. I was totally shocked! First he had a long talk with her (asked me to be present for that). She told him he had a temper, then I think she realized she did too. He explained the difference was he controlled his. He told her she would have a consequence, then I suggested she help come up with a consequence since she feels no control. She chose 7 days without playing with her friends. Then when we went to the pool, DH made her sit out for 20 minutes as well.
I also showed her where the washer is and how to use it. She also learned to use the sink, water and dish scrubber and after that introduced her to the dish washer. Since I am not a "parent" to her, I don't do laundry, dishes or anything else for her. Her twin still wants me as a parental figure so she gets everything done for her.
Oh, I also returned their bathing suits that I used my giftcard to purchase. They have two, I took the third back and spent it on me. That too was a surprise...for everyone.

Good for you
you should spend your GC on YOU!
Yay for pampering!
3 swim suits?? growing up all the girls in my family (3 of us) shared suits. I'm the baby, so of course I was at the end of the hand me down line. Sounds like your doing the right thing, just stick to your guns. At 11, a girl should know how to do all that stuff anyways. Nothing wrong with teaching some responsibility.
