and it was a thing of beauty!!!!!

when i got home, dh was asleep on the couch. at some point he got up and went to bed. ya'll know where this is leading....

kaos asks for the lighter, wants to build a fire. so i told him to "go ask your ddaaaadyyyy!" in that lovely happy unicorn farting skittles kind of way. well dh told him he could so i tossed him the lighter after advising dh that *I* was not 'on duty'. of course, the fire thing didnt last but about 30 seconds cuz kaos couldnt stand to be outside by himself.

BUT.... he kept the lighter.

then he starts with his needling efforts to provoke me, and i respond with nothing but love and light, unikitty style. he later goes into the dining room and starts screwing around with my decorative candles. lurch comes out for some munchies and asks what that smell is. kaos says "it's this rubber band, i figured out that you can actually burn rubber!"

lurch goes about his business, and i so nicely and sweetly asked kaos five or six times to stop fucking with my candles. i then paused the tv and started down the hallway (TO GO PEE) and yss says "GAAAAH fine i'm putting them down, no need to go tell dddaaaadddyyyy." i closed the bedroom door behind me, and without a word went into our bathroom.

ten seconds later kaos comes in the bedroom to see what i'm "telling on" him to dh. but his bluster goes flat when he realizes i just went to the bathroom. he's got to justify his reason for waking dh up so he's standing there fiddling with his rubber band making idle chit-chat w/ dh when i come back into the room. as i'm leaving to go back into the living room, i asked him oh so happily and excitedly "oh did you tell ddaaaddyyyy what you leeaaaarrrnnned about what you have in your haaaaannnddd???"

it threw him off guard, so he didnt have time to think of a lie or the repercussions of the truth. }:) "oh um yeah i didnt know that rubber would actually burn."

dh catches on and perks right up, saing "yup, it sure can and it stinks too! how'd you figure that out?"
"well i lit one of tuff's candles in the dining room and was holding this over it, but it wouldnt catch fire so i just held it right over the lighter until it lit!"

BWAAAHAAAHAAAA }:) dh virtually roared at him. am not sure all of what he said as i quietly exited and stepped out back.
