Just observations

DH and I hosted his friends from interstate over the weekend. And we were all sitting on the porch after dinner catching up. Friend remarked on how he and his sister don’t have a relationship. The last time he spoke to his sister was when she called him after years of absence asking to borrow money to sort out car troubles. When he said no she started verbally abusing him telling him he doesn’t know how tough she’s had it and how he’s got plenty he’s not sharing. There were nods all round the table when he said she was a piece of work, he’s worked hard for his money and she’s not entitled to his hard work. It's messed up how in her mind "no" isn't an acceptable answer and thinking that hurling abuse would change that decision.

And I couldn’t help but think SD22 is worse. Friend's sister said she wanted to borrow the money. SD doesn’t call after a long absence asking to borrow, she calls up asking for free contributions with no intention of paying back, not even a fake “i’ll pay you back later”. And if no money is forthcoming, it's the same reaction as Friend's sister.

Now the million dollar question: who wants to put money down that DH won't go into a moody funk if I point out the parallels between those two women?

There's no parallel between freeloader sister and Poopsie!   For one thing, Poopsie is probably an unfair VICTIM of circumstances who needs, actually REQUIRES, Daddy's help.  After all, what are parents for? Entirely different situation.  Lol.

I would not put money down on that side of the bet, no way!
