IPOD fight
My SS comes home from school today. Asked if he can use my computer to update the IPOD, his BM, gave him against our wishes. I say not a problem let me see it. He hands it over it has a password on it so I ask what it is. He asked for it back and said he wanted to delete some stuff first. I asked what and he said poams. Now I am not stupid. He is 16 and probably has pictures I should not see or downloaded porn from an unsecure site. I simply said if I can not see what is on there you can not use my computer. I do not want any virus moving on to my system! He flipped out...swearing and just acting like a plain fool. I remained calm and said this is simple let me see the ipod and what is on there. I told him no concequences maybe just an opportunity to talk. He stormed upstairs like a 5 year old. I didn't pay any attention to his temper tantrum. Am I wrong? SHould I let him just use the computer? He already ruined my last computer with his need for porn.
This teen age crap especially with a step is CRAZY!

Nope I don't think you were wrong at all. Last time I let my SO's daughter use my laptop they were caught on some website chatting with this "man" asking them to show off their private areas and in return they were asking to see his "penis" however of course they couldn't even say "penis". Ugh.....I can't believe it. And of course....they don't see what the problem was. BTW...I got a virus shortly after that stunt.
iPods only sync with one
iPods only sync with one computer using iTunes. I'd suspect he wants to download suspect files since he obviously isn't using iTunes, I'm also guessing this is an older iPod and not an iPod touch because he could just go on your wifi if he had the touch. I wouldn't let him use your computer, matter of fact I'd password protect it so he can't go on it when your not looking and having had 4 teens (2 mine,2 hubby's) both boys and girls I wouldn't let them sync anything with your main computer unless you want to risk getting a virus. Teens don't care about computer security, they only care about free files and free music and boys tend to like porn but some girls do too.
