Is it okay to just be done?

I am done with the skids- mostly the girl skids. SS is okay and I can deal with him and deal with him being in my life.

When it comes to the girl skids I am just done. I would prefer to act like they dont exist. I know that doesn't sound very nice but that is how I feel. I dont wish any harm or anything bad. In time I may change my mind or be more open to things but right now I am just DONE.

Is this even fair to my DH? I know he is torn. I know he is looking at me like I am some evil woman who is forcing him to choose between his wife and kids. Which I am not.

BM is going to be happy....

She should be receiving her first CS payment since it was upped plus the arrears (due to SS aging out and neither BM or DH having CS re-evaluated for over a year). What DH is paying out PER CHECK is more now then what she was getting PER MONTH before.

BM likes to blow money on junk, frivilous things and not actually pay her bills. So the skids and BM will be living high (at least for a little bit- MSD18 is graduating soon and the arrears will be paid off within the next year hopefully.

Why does this bother me?

DH won 4 tickets at work for a professional hockey game. The game is on a weekday. We talked about going and decided since it's a weekday, its downtown, we probably wouldnt be up for going. It would just be too much. Those were DH's words. I wasn't really surprised as he doesnt like to do anything on a week day after work and especially not driving. Which I get as he has to drive kind of far to get to work.

I was a little dissapointed, as I thought it would be something fun to do and out of our routine, but also it made sense why we weren't going.

skids got me a present and a very "merry" "blended" Xmas.......

DH did take the skids on Xmas Eve. He took them to lunch and 2 of them to the movies. MSD18 couldnt go because she couldnt find anyone to watch her baby but she was able to go to lunch. I am glad he got to spend time with them. I am even more glad that he did not bring them back. I was mentally preparing myself all day for that.

Not sure if they asked to come back or not. I didnt ask for any details about the day other then where did they eat, what movie did they see and who all went.

Anyone file injured spouse for taxes?

When SS graduated (who lived with DH) CS was never re-evaluated. This was for 16 months. It finally got re-evaluated and DH owes BM (long story). So he is in arrears.

We plan on filing married, but injured spouse for me. I do not want to file married but seperate because my understanding is that I will lose any credits I would get for credits for student loans and daycare (for my BS8).

Has anyone ever filed this way?

What would be the ideal "New Year" for you?

What changes are you going to make in your life?

If you make resolutions- what are they?

What plans of actions do you have to accomplish these goals?

What resolutions or year end/new year changes have you made in the past that you were success with? Hwo did you accomplish that?
