Is it fair to live in a home/ be with DH when you dont like minor skids?
I really hope I can word this right because I know it's possibly that I will get a lot of feedback on this. The whole "not my kid, not my problem", double standards, etc.
So do you think as a parent that has a minor child living in your home at least 50% of the time that its okay to marry a spouse that doesn't like your child or have any interest in that child's life?
Back Child Support- Who does it belong to?
If a CP is owed back child support and has never needed government assistance and receives a large lump sum in back child support whose money is it? How do you think the CP should spend the money?
Is is the CP's because this whole time they were soley supporting the child with their own money. CP may have went without things for themself to ensure that child had everything that they needed. Had CP had CS money, CP could have used own money earned for themselves (as needed/wanted).

What makes for a good skid?
If you could create the perfect skid, what would he/she be like?
And if the skid isn't "perfect" what issues/behaviors could you accept?
Often at times I read posts and it just seems like ANYTHING that the skid does warrants the SP to have issue with the skids. A lot of it is typical behavior of kids. Sometimes we bitch about something that our skid does, then turn around and brush it under the rug when our own bio does it. (I know a lot of this comes from dealing with shitty behavior prior which results in being annoyed at the little things.)

OT- Positive thoughts and prayers
I believe in positive thinking and I think the more people that can do it, the better.
So if you pray or believe in God or whatever you believe in or nothing at all, just positive vibes:

How to think of your SO's children?
I have a hard time thinking of my DH's kids as "his kids".
When people tell stories about their kids, good or bad I can understand what they are saying because they are that person's kids. I am a mother myself so I understand why they feel/do the things they do for their own children.
You would think because I love my DH that I would maybe think more kindly of his kids, be able to "relate" a little more to the things that they do. Maybe have some more love, understanding or compassion? Such as I do for other people's kids.

OT- anyone own an Umbrella Cockatoo? The story of how I am now the owner of a Cockatoo bird!
So DH brought home an Umbrella Cockatoo.
It was found outside at his work. It had been outside for at least 2 days (took DH that long to catch it). Once it was caught someone DH works with had a cage, so it was then caged and in the office waiting to see if anyone claimed it. Ads posted. Nothing.
So DH finds someone who is selling a cockatoo cage and toys and all the goodies and DH buys it and brings home the cockatoo.
