Don't post much..

Our life has been lots of drama with a mostly absent bio dad. When he actually got the kids it was all disney dad and buying them stuff and talking crap about their mom. Did a number on the kids and we got them in counseling which was a real help.

Bio dad od'd 2 yearsago. Meth. Saddest thing to me is that for the kids it was like a distant barely known relative passing. Kept the kids in counseling to be sure and give them a place to work things out. 

They've been calling me Dad since last summer. Didn't ask them to nor did my wife. We asked them and they said "youre dad to us we love you". Damn sure choked me up because I love them too.

Early this year they asked to change their last name to mine, if I would adopt them so I am really "dad". We talked about it as a family and to the counselor to be sure its what they really want. 

Today its finally legal and I am their dad!! Real proud and all choked up about it. Hope I do right by my new kids and beautiful wife.
