BM's text....like clockwork!

tofurkey's picture

So me and DH were having a nice dinner tonight and watching a show. Tomorrow is the dreaded skid visit at MIL. Every time the new month comes, BM will send DH text saying "leave money with your mother this weekend." Now, DH doesn't need a reminder. He knows when his money is going to her every month, kind of hard to forget...His paycheck varies from week to week so whenever he has the $$$, he leaves it out at MIL's for the appropriate month. Since DH already left November's CS two weeks ago, I figured BM wouldn't be sending the retarded reminder text for this weekend since IT ISN'T DECEMBER YET. But, just like f'ing clockwork, while we are having dinner DH's phone goes off and it's BM telling him to leave $$$ tomorrow. Yeah, sorry bitch you already got November's payment, and last time I checked tomorrow is still November, NOT December so get a f'ing calender you trashy, nasty, disgusting excuse for a human being piece of shit....Ugh, I hate that woman.

I'd be tempted to text back one time "I have this marked on the calendar so there is no further need for you to text it, unless, of course, you are harassing me. Do you not have anything to do? Because knitting is a fun hobby..."

hahah i love this! unfortunately i don't think her simple pea sized brain could handle such a complicated activity }:) i so want dh to write back a snappy text, but he never answers her at all, he just ignores it.

I hope you are getting a signed receipt from BM for the CS payments. If not, she has DH by the short and curlys if she ever decides to take him to court.

Very scary.

Copies of the cancelled cheques should be sufficient evidence of payment, non?

True, however, if BM claims that some of those payments were just gifts or extras it could be a problem.

I am a proponent of payroll withholding and having CS distributed to the CP via the CSE office. That keeps any drama out of the CS situation.

^^^^^^^^Agree......

There would be no need for contact whatsoever about payments because a central witholding agency would handle all of it....

Having a third party (the CSE office) deal with it is a good thing. Or at least has been for us.

We never requested direct payroll withholding. For the first 8yrs we would get checks from the CSE office. They were not consistent in timing or amount. This is when SpermGrandMa would pay CS directly to the CSE office.

Between our first court date and the second 8yrs later the state implemented direct payroll withholding for any CS case or change to CS after 1994.

Once direct withholding went in to affect the amounts were consistent and the timing was too. Though during a couple of periods of unemployment the direct deposits from CSE had gaps. The cool part about that was that the CSE nearly instantly sent nasty grams to the SpermIdiot telling him that if he remained in arrears his tax returns would be forfeit and the arrears would be subject to penalties and interest. with cc's to my wife.

I think that direct withholding is good for both the CP and NCP. It protects the NCP from claims of non payment and it provides regular CS deposits to the CP.

All IMHO of course.

Best regards,
