Yeah, Right!
Of all of the things that I have mentioned here, here is one that I left out -- BM doesn't drive. Nope, all of the driving is on us -- which usually falls on my husband. She is a grown woman who just has not bothered to get her drivers license. We live about 35 minutes away from her.
I was just advised that we have a Winter Storm Warning in our area - we are due to get upwards of twelve inches of snow. I sent a text to my husband and said, "you should ask BM to keep SD tomorrow night so that you don't have to drive'. Normally my husband picks SD up from BM on Friday evening -- bm doesn't work during the day but likes her Friday nights free - and drops her off on Saturdays, every other weekend. This is BM's weekend to have SD.
He replied to my text and said, OK.
BM replied back and said that she had other plans and request that I watch her.
Is she out of her f'ing mind? First of all, I work at home and can not deal with that child running around while I'm doing it. Second of all, she's not my responsibility. Thirdly -- take some responsibility LADY. She's your frigging kid.
Additionally, she told my husband that she didn't think the snow would be that bad and that it would probably be fine to drive in.
Ugggghhhh, I SO don't want to get snowed in with this kid!!!
