I know this sounds crazy to a lot of people, but Loghead and I usually spend a lot of time apart in the summer. We're both teachers, and he usually works part time summer jobs and that leaves me in charge of the skids and our BS. I find it easier to take all the children to my parents' summer home at a local vacation destination nearby.

I had family disown me when I decided to marry my husband. Some disapproved of him having been my boss, some disapproved of him having been divorced, others disapproved of him having custody of his three small children. But I did it anyway...

And it's not all been a walk in the park, but I do think the good outweighs the bad. This time of year is hard for me, as we get ready for my annual family reunion. This will be our 20th Annual gathering. I do have 5 relatives who still- after 13 years- will leave the room if myself or my husband enters the room. Screw them.

I am not enjoying my summer vacation. I don't even feel like I fit in my own home.

As a teacher, I always look forward to my time off in the summer to do craft projects and home improvement projects. But since Loghead lost his job in December, there really isn't money to do those things this year.

Storming here all afternoon. I think a tornado may have hit my house... There is no other explanation for the mess before me. I can't image my dear husband making such a mess in my absense...

Gibby and I went away for the holiday weekend. My honey had to work his temp job and the skids had plans. We were gone for 5 days.

In the time I was gone, Loghead decided to fix the bathroom floor that has been ripped up for over a year. He fixed the whole in the ceiling where the bathroom fan blew out in DEcember. Great, right?
