Thanks, ladies and gents. Once again, I cooled off, like you all suggested. Here's what happened on two accounts:

1. PITA 16 contacted Loca Grande today for her birthday. just "hi" by text, but that was enough. And it wasn't cause Loghead or I reminded him. GIBBY DID. LOL He was fussing on his older skid-bro, saying, "I know it's ____ birthday. She's your mom. Text her." FROM a 9 YEAR OLD!!!

Seeking opinions- Am I wrong?

PITA 16 refuses to talk to or visit his mother. They have had an on again/ off again relationship for the last 3 years. They are in an off phase now. I'm not really sure what happened over the summer when he did spend a bit of time there, but he came back, saying he wanted nothing to do with her, ever again.

She pretty much nailed her own coffin when she went and bought herself the car she had promised to buy for him...

WTF! Does he NEVER learn?

Loghead just bought 2 pigs! After the whole cow incident, he goes and buys pigs?! The man is stupid!

About an hour ago, a few of us are sitting around the table, eating left overs. Loghead is reading the weekly paper, and sees an ad that catches his eye- doesn't say anything to me, just calls the number. Before I know it, I hear him say, "Yea, I'm interested in buying 2 of those pigs you advertised in the paper."

I froze. Princess took a sharp breath in, and Gibby said he was leaving the room. Smart kids.

This is my favorite picture from our recent family photo day! I did the photography with a tripod, and Princess helped with a few shots. Loghead was very grumpy, which wasn't helpful in getting the skids and Gibby to behave. I have to admit, it was freezing that afternoon. I made sure they knew that if they'd smile, we'd get done in only 30 clicks of the camera. Princess took this one of us! This is the Loghead I know and love. The one who does what I want, simply because he loves me!

Now if the rest of the mini-vacation stays like this...

After lazing in bed with Loghead till 11am (gosh- I love being teachers!), Loghead took Gibby 8 and PITA 16 out for most of the day.

I have brought the Christmas tree out of the basement, and the boxes of ornaments. I have wrapped two packages to take to the post office Friday afternoon. Christmas music is playing. I've made two desserts for a little family gathering tomorrow, and dinner is baking in the oven- my favorite- Tuna Casserole. Screw everyone else! They can eat whatever left overs they like!

My prayers were answered. 2 of the skids WILL be gone for Thanksgiving, and the one staying behind holes up in his room, so I won't see him. Something to be Thankful for!

Granted, this came about as Loca Grande texted me at 1o minutes till 7 this morning. On a Sunday. The woman is crazy. She wanted Lazy Boye to stay for the week. Even though they are having Thanksgiving today, it is her holiday to have them Thursday. If he came home for school she wouldnt have money to come back and get him later in the week, so she wants to keep him.

CRAP.. I should have known my plans would be ruined

Princess arrived home from college for the week. She tells me Loca Grande has decided to have their Thanksgiving tomorrow. So she'll go up there tomorrow and stay just a day with them. She probably won't want to go back, and then Lazy Boye won't have a ride there, so it looks like all the skids will be home for Thanksgiving.
