Officially disengaging from Princess today

Last-Wife's picture

Well, she did it. We figured from her facebook posts, and those of a friend, that she didn't go to her mother's- she went halfway across the state to visit her friends instead. Just to verify, Loghead sent Loca Grande a text about it, and she told him Princess WAS with her. Then she proceeded to send me a few texts about how we need to trust Princess, and started going off on her parenting theories.

Annoyed and overjoyed at the same time

Princess left this morning. she announces last night that she has decided to spend her last few days of her college break with her mother and "Lil Granma."

And she knew Loghead and I had plans to spend Saturday with her and take her to a big local event, and out to dinner, and getting last minute things she needs for back to school.

Princess and the pea...

Not the fairy tale... What I've seen Princess eat in the last three weeks!

I reported she seems to have developed some sort of eating disorder. Loghead really stepped up. On the 20th, we both took off work and dragged her to the doctor, where they ran a panel of blood work. The doc has worked with her for 6 years, and told her she looked bad, and her habits need to change before her health really begins to deteriorate.

The panels came back okay, except for her cholestrol, which was really high.

Glad life returns to normal...

Loghead went back to work Monday; the skids, Gibby and I went back to school/work today. Things are ALMOST back to normal. Princess can't get back into the dorm until Sunday...

She's been really cranky all through break. I'm almost glad she took off to her mother's today, even though that makes her comes home in an even worse mood. The "air" at Loca Grande's house has a weird affect on her...

Same resolution as last year...

I will not let the drama of others create drama for me.

Easier said than done when you are a step-mom, but it worked pretty well for me, so I am going with it again this year.

I also hope to gain a better relationship with PITA 16. That skid seems to be floatly aimlessly since he decided he didn't want Loca Grande to be his mom anymore. Well, that's biology, he can't change that, but hopefully I can help him remember he always has had a mom right here...

The woman is beyond help...

She sends me a Facebook memo this afternoon that she DOES have cancer, but doens't want the kids to know yet until she has more information about her treatment... What, so this is like the 6th time? And this summer when she thought she had cancer, she had them all riled up before a biopsy was even done, and now she she says she does have cancer, but she doesn't want the kids to know?

I swear, if she wasn't already under some psychiatric care, I would send her for some!

If she wants me to nominate her "Mom of the Year," she can think again

She sent me a message today, whining about health insurance and paying $240 for the skids' school lunches this last month, and how since she's paying so much for them now, she and her husband hardly ever eat...

Yea, ya fat cow. i can tell from the looks of it you never eat. and you want me to be sorry for you, spending for 2 teenage boys' lunch bills? Who do you think paid for their lunches for the last 12 years, ya frickin' b%^&*$. And their school clothes, and school supplies, and daily personal needs, and, and, and...

She got on my last nerve...

I kept my mouth shut so I could have Christmas peace...

Our family Christmas at my parents was sheduled for Sunday at 11:00, a big lunch and then presents and time for my parents to hang out with the kids and watch them enjoy their gifts. My parents have always been good to my skids, and in my eyes, have never treated them any different than they treat Gibby, other than the fact that he is 7 years younger than them...

Merry Christmas!

Not really following the "normal' family traditions this year... 2 of the skids went to see their mother, one stayed here. Gibby will wake up to a stocking full of Santa presents, and Loghead had a discussion with PITA about how Santa had to down size this year, and kids over 15 aren't getting gifts this year. LOL Besides, he'll be asleep till noon anyway, so I wasn't wasting any more money on him

We will head to my mother's tomorrow afternoon and the other skids will meet us there on Sunday for our Christmas.
