makes me wonder

I was checking my dog pen which wraps around the back side of the house and found a bottle jammed under the window leading into the sd's room. She moved out almost a year ago and hasnt come back at all. The window doesnt have a screen so with the bottle under the window anyone can open it easily and enter our house...So it makes me wonder if it was in the window to air the room out or if the skid used it to get in the house when no ones home since we lock all the doors and they dont have keys. DF didnt think anything of it ofcourse...He often asks why I am so "obcessed" with step kids...the issue of stepkids basically. I try to explain that since they impact my life so I want to understand them more.

Just remove the bottle and don't mention it to dh again. I would check every so often by that window or other windows on ground level when dh isn't around to make sure no one is getting in, because if your step can get in so could strangers.

FORGET ALL OF THIS CRAP! What about snakes! or Bugs! or CRMINALS/RAPISTS CLOSE THAT WINDOW ASAP!!!!! :O :O :O

The L bracket idea is genius. I wouldn't of said anything except he saw the bottle too so I figured when he was working in the room he may of put it there to air the room out (she has a litter box in there) and forgot to move it. I did think of more than skids getting in, we dont have a snake issue but bugs and strangers (thiefs/rapists) did bother me. Of course DF only thought I meant skids.

Change the bottle out with another so she thinks someone else is climbing in and possibly hiding in the house.
