Dave Ramsey Hangs Up On Psycho BM!!

Caught a bit of Dave Ramsey on the radio. A caller calls in with a standard "victim" story. The ex did this; the ex did that. . .how am I gonna be able to do this or that ,blah blah blah.

Upon further examination, come to find out that the caller is:

1. a CP BM who is working a bare minimum part time hours JUST to pay an attorney to harrass her ex husband

2. has remarried to a guy who makes boatloads of money and is "providing for her and her sons"

3. didn't listen to a THING Dave Ramsey said.

I noticed this in the skids school district:

Homework prep and binder check is weighted EQUALLY with tests and quizzes.

Which artificially inflates grades.

If Junior has a binder check and if homework is being done by the BM or biodad, then that counts just as heavily as a quiz or test that Junior is taking all on his own.

In GG's kids case, they all get marks like 30, 43, 63 on tests and quizzes, yet they have "binder check" scores of 100. It's all averaged in and given the same weight!!!

I've started walking for an hour after work at the local school district.

It happens to be in an elementary/intermediate school with two floors.

I couldn't help noticing all the lovely handwriting essays on the wall. These were the 2nd graders and their handwriting was far superior to Venus De Milo's on her best day (she's 12 and in the 6th grade but failing miserably as usual)

Anyway, I'm viewing it as 5 hours a week to be alone with my thoughts and away from the miserable Godsgift.

into thinking that their skids are not "college material" and won't be attending college (and thus the 50% mandate that is in most DDs won't apply) THINK AGAIN!

Today's colleges are a dumbed down, remedial grade and highschool money making racket.

Even if Junior made all Fs from kindergarten right through 12th grade; is in a reading group called "The Slugs". . .has been diagnosed with severe (insert syndrome of the week here) and has been labeled "learning disabled" he WILL be going to COLLEGE. This is most especially true in the BLUE states of the U.S. and Canada!!

And ANOTHER Thing. . .

I "reminded" GG that he signed the paperwork way back when (when he was in the "give the Behemoth everything she wants and JUST LIVE OFF Auteur" mode) that he is responsible for 50% of college costs for the three MacArthur Genius Grant recipients.

He said "oh no, I'm not gonna pay it!"

GG thinks that the reason I vented about steplife is because I'm jealous of the life the Behemoth has with hubby number 2. They have photos of being out on the town together. He described her in that photo as "looking pretty and attractive" etc. It's fairly clear that because of our financial status (aka the Behemoth draining half his pay for the next 13 more years) we don't have the money to live it up like the Behemoth and hubby do. He also compared his "cheating" on the Behemoth when she withheld sex for months at a time to my venting on the internet. ???!!!!

GG accused me the other day of throwing away his "Sleeping with the Enemy" movie, which he watches for "pointers" on how to treat a woman, but I digress.

So lately, he's acting like he doesn't trust me to file away all the school correspondence after he reads it. He's squirreling it away somewhere so I don't get my evil stepmother mits on it.

HA!

Who Else Has this Problem?

Booze taking up all the space in the frig. Now granted, I have a LARGE FRENCH DOOR FRIG w/ icemaker and water on the outside (one of things that GG is good for; he can hook up stuff like that in a blink of an eye)

But these wine boxes and cans of beer take up every goddam crevice in the frig! I cook usually for most of the week on the weekends, freezing and refrigerating the rest.

His b-day is coming up so I"m buying him his personal frig that he can stuff his booze into. One less aggrevation for me until the house is finished.

Ok if you get one of these what would be the reaction of your DH/biodad?

Do you think he'd be offended that you think his children are theiving heathens, even when they positively ARE theiving heathens?

Do you think it would make him face reality that his kids are POS or do you think it would have the opposite effect and he'd get that much more over protective of them and making even bigger excuses for them?

For me I think it's the latter.
