Father's Rights Groups
Has anyone ever used or know someone who has used a Father's Rights Group Organization to help with custody/visitation/etc?
If so, what was the experience with the group & which group?
Thank you.

I know there's one not too far from us
Cleveland maybe. But we've never needed to use it. They must be cool folks though, because this one offered to host an event for last summer's Until the Violence Stops Festival, NE Ohio. I served on that committee and was very impressed that a man's group wanted anything to do with a movement started by Eve Ensler, which often entails vaginas in the title!

My husband has used the services of DADS. They provide legal information and advice free of charge to assist is Pro Se action, or guidance even with an attorney. At first, them were very helpful and informative, but the last time he contacted them, they were very short and unhelpful. The head of it changed and I guess he is not handling it well.
My husband's cousin also contacted them and they said they didnt have the ability to help him because they were understaffed. So, I would not recommend this one.

They were very helpful to us at first, wouldn't take back the time we spent, but when it got to the actual attempt to get custody from BM we really had to hire an attorney. We did find our attorney through them, and we are pleased with him now.
