Unrelated to steplife but I
Unrelated to steplife but I decided to do a coal theme for my brother this year and it came out awesome in case any of you want a theme gift idea for a man!
I bought coal shampoo, body wash, deodrant and toothpaste. A charcoal infused toothbrush and a charcoal razor and I even found steak seasoning and hot sauce made with charcoal. I also got coal looking tic tacs, coal chocolate and a tin of coal gum and best of all I found on Zazzle wrapping paper that is black and says "Nothing but coal" all over it.
Not so unrelated
So many of these Dadddyyyys deserve nothing but coal For failure to parent, triangulating stepmom, and raising Mini spouses
But my gifts are nice things
But my gifts are nice things that he will like and use. I just thought it was a fun theme to go with. Plus this is for my brother not my DH.
I love it!! What a great idea.
I did a project in WV when SS-30 was about 10. While there I found a brick sized chunk of coal by the road at one of my client sites. I kept it for most of the year, put a red ribbon/bow on it, and put it in SS's stocking. We all three laughed when he opened it.
He still has it and keeps in on his fireplace hearth if his place has an fp. He has had it for about 20 years.
When we are not togther for Christmas, he usually will mention it.
Brilliant idea. You just figured out what I am doing for my kid this year. Thank you for that!! I will steal it happily.
