Well, the official "Bitch it out Thursday" post isn't up yet, but I thought I'd get my bitch out there. BM wanted to keep the kids an extra night last night, which never happens. I was pretty psyched because I am off on Thursdays but I never get to enjoy my mornings off because the skids are here and need to be nagged to get ready for school.

Yes, I thought to myself. I can get a whole morning to drink coffee and read in peace!! I cannot even tell you how excited I was. My morning routine is nothing special, but I enjoy it and rarely get to indulge these days.

I was having a grand old time, reading the morning paper, browsing the internet and drinking hot, delicious coffee in bed. Heaven. I got up to get myself another cup, and heard noises from the other side of the house (where the skids' rooms are). About scared the crap out of me, but I pretty quickly realized that for some reason the skids must be home, because the dogs never barked and they'd never let a stranger in this house without barking.

Silly us, we actually assumed that since BM had them last night, she'd get them off to school. But nope! She dropped them off for me to deal with. To top it off, they never bothered to inform me they were home, nor did BM bother to inform FDH what her plans were. She just assumed that I'd be around to deal with her responsibilities. And that I wouldn't be walking around naked, which *almost* happened.

So my morning is shot. Skid2 is talking my ear off, as per usual, and I am counting the minutes til they're both gone.
