DH won't STFU about SD!

I swear.. No matter where we are, no matter what we are doing, DH has to CONSTANTLY bring up SD.. This past weekend, we went away on a couple's getaway type of thing and he talked about freakin skid the WHOLE way there! It's like he's obsessed with her! Any of you have this issue? I'm glad he's a "good" father (I put good in quotations because he's good as in he loves her but he is really more of a friend/disney dad than a parent, which makes him not so good.. if you get what I mean) but damn! I don't want to hear about her all the time, especially when she isn't around! I want to enjoy our alone time and forget she exists for a little while! }:)

I get this a lot as well. We can be eating dinner and then sd13's name will pop up and then it's a whole convo about her and the stupid golden uterus. I hate it. It makes me behave and say negative things and I'm really upset that I can't control my emotions better.

Honestly, I think it's bc they don't have a real connection with their kids that they act like this. I have kids but I don't feel the need to talk about them every single second of the day!!

What even makes me more steamed is when he acts like they are the most amazing people in the world after they tried to screw him over on his time a few weeks ago. Geeze, get a grip man!!

Exactly. I don't know anyone else who talks about their kids CONSTANTLY. I agree with you about the connection- we have SD 50/50 so I know DH is not as close to her as he would be if he had her all the time so he may be trying to make up for that. So annoying!

I have the same problem. Apparently my idiot DH still assumes talking about his kid or his ex is exactly the same thing as foreplay.

LOL! Mine too! DH does not care where we are or what we are doing, he will ALWAYS find a way to bring up SD. We will be starting to fool around and he will mention her & I'm like ok... I'm done... Gross.

Oh God! Just today at lunch break. Trying to enjoy my turkey sandwich, and he brings up his fat cow daughter. Apparently, she hurt her knee and had to quit her job. Bet her hubby just loves that! It took her for ever to find that job....now the poor dope is supporting her AGAIN! As long as they don't darken my doorstep, we're good!
