I just watched Melania interview and saw a tweet that I thought interesting. " If trump wins Ivanka will be First Lady, not Melania."
I think of my own situation, with husband enmeshed again with his daughter. Long distance this time, but she clearly is his intimate.....multiple texts every day and hour long calls.
Do we think this is likely with Trump? I know Ivanka has lots of little kids....is she enmeshed with her father?

I think Ivanka is very enmeshed with her father! But oh, those telling eyes of Melania's say she is the first lady; even if Ivanka hasn't realized it yet.
I've already seen exactly what you are saying in these public appearances; Melania is very subdued.
Trump has shown his kids(and
Trump has shown his kids(and the world) that his wives are temporary and his children are stable, constant fixtures(props???) in his life.
Melania is a damn fool if she thinks she isn't going to face the same fate the others faced.
I think how Melania uses
I think how Melania uses excuse she has one son, yet Ivanka has 5! Including a young infant. But in some ways, most people know it looks weird to have your daughter as a surrogate when you gave a wife. Most of our husbands know this and keep up the pretense to the public.

And I do think somebody should have pointed out that if Melania had been at every rally, and Ivanka took more of a back seat, Trump might have looked more respectable. Like a married man.

As soon as the marriage ends
As soon as the marriage ends (yup, I'm assuming she and her creepy looking brothers will follow their dad's example in regards to marriage), she may convert back to Christianity.

It is kind of sad that it is
It is kind of sad that it is though. She felt obligated to stay with Bill so he could stay president and then to help her get the chance to progress her career. It is a sad sign that even though there is potential for a female president that it is mainly because of who she is married to. Not saying she is not qualified or capable but that if she had not been married to Bill it is unlikely that she would have gotten this far.
I don't agree fully that she
I don't agree fully that she was able to get this far due to being married to Bill. I think staying married has been a positive for both of the Clinton's political careers. And I doubt any woman other than the spouse of a former president would get this far at this point in American history. But I read a biography of hers from way way back in the day, and she was open about accepting that a monogamous marriage wasn't going to happen with Bill, but other things that mattered more to her were going to be the case. That he supported her law and political career at all, never mind to the extent that he did? Well, maybe you are right after all. Maybe she would never had made it without Bill being the wind beneath her wings.

Funny! Ronald Reagan had
Funny! Ronald Reagan had wife #1, Jane Wyman. She barely made an appearance, but probably got a TV series, Falcon Crest because of it. Ronald's kids from his first marriage made the rounds during his campaigning.
Nancy is wife #2. But, for some reason that doesn't come up much. Funny how all of these moral conservatives wind up so multiple married! Reagan, twice, and Donald Trump thrice, and Rush Limbaugh--I think he is on at least #4 now.

Interesting how we here
Interesting how we here picked up on her disengagement from her skids. Just read article on cnn seeming to hint that they think she was disengaging herself from her husband also. Maybe after the election?
What was striking to me was the image of her and their son going into the convention 10 feet behind trump.....he essentially ignored them. So maybe she will decide a retirement package i.e. Settlement is worth getting out early. It seems to have suited the other two wives.

Not just Melania, but with Marla, too. I saw a photo a few weeks ago of Ivanka as a teenager with her Dad and then stepmother Marla. Marla and her husband were awkwardly split by the insertion of teen Ivanka between them. Ivanka had her back toward Marla, of course, making it seem the couple was Donald and Ivanka and the third wheel over there, what's she doing here?
That picture spoke a thousand words to me. Later I saw another where teen Ivanka is splashed all over her dad's lap at a fashion show, looking like she's actually bouncing on him and wife Marla is...........waaaaaaay down the way on the opposite end of the row, many seats away.
Melania and Ivanka never seem to mention each other's names. Only when forced by a live camera, does Ivanka mention Tiffany.
Ivanka is a full on mini-wife golden child. Eric and Donald Jr are train-bearers, as in they carry the train of Ivanka's dress. Tiffany is the scullery maid allowed to look in on the princess from afar. And Barron is the little prince up in the tower shielded by moats and fairies and witches.
It's truly step-dysfunction on full display.

On the news there was a picture of Melania and Ivanka sitting next to each other. Ivanka's face was turned to the side, staring at Malenia. I've seen that look SOOO many times from SD and it was not the look of love.

I don't remember the question to Trump but I do somewhat remember his answer. He said something to the point of "I have the support of Ivanka and my family". It stood out to me as it seemed Ivanka is his number one lady.
Even so I do support Trump.

Ivanka, as a step
Ivanka, as a step daughter/half sister, is a breath of fresh air compared to Kerri Kasem. Ivanka is beautiful, poised and tactful. I've never seen her involved in a scandal, posing nude, or (publicly) utter a nasty word towards her SM's or half siblings. Her mother Ivana was a class act IMHO; I'm sure she learned a lot about tact from her because Donald sure didn't model it.
That being said, my vote is cast and in the mail! Love all the Trump ladies yet have no idea what they see in him. Oh wait...$$$
Ivanka has business scandals
Ivanka has business scandals if no personal ones. She's got the shoes with the stolen design, the company policies that do not square with her public statements, the factory issues, the "unpaid" intern thing, and the using the RNC to promote her dresses.
But, yes, a cut above Kerri Kasem. Several cuts above!
