I need some advice, it's not relevant to my sd3 though. My bd2 bio dad has never been in her life. I was glad because he was very abusive and discovered he has a felony rape charge. We've just initiated the custody battle. I'm not worried, i know i'll have custody. But would the ny legal system allow a sex offender (the girl he raped was 14, second degree felony rape and endangering the welfare of a minor), to have visitation rights to my daughter? My husband has raised her as his own for her entire life. Bio dad was never to be found or in jail. What can i do to prove he is completely unfit to be around her? Not only does he have sex crime but also jailed for stealing. He was diagnosed bipolar, also has a drug problem and no stable living environment. The only reason he wants to see my bd is to continue to try to manipulate my life. What do i do?
