Child Support Hearing coming up HELP!
Hubby has CS hearing coming up in 4 weeks, He has always paid child support, and paid it on time since divorce. Mother decided to take the case to child support enforcement and ask for a modification... well the modification was in fathers favor, she is now contesting the modification arguing that she wants paid child care added on to the child support worksheet (sd is 13 and father is off all day and can watch her for free every day because he works nights not days) She has also lied to Child support enforcement telling them that she has sd 60% of the time and that dad has her 40% of the time... lie, lie, lie!! They follow a 3 on 3 off schedule which is dads work schedule so they share child 50/50. Anyhow.. child support goes down from 410.00 month to 260.00 per month and thats with 40/60 time share, it goes down to 126.00 with 50/50 time share and thats exactly what they are doing. She is definately going to lie when she is in court to keep what $$ she can. Any advice on how to make sure the hearing officer / Judge understands that they do share 50/50 and mom is a big fat liar. btw does anyone understand why it is dad obligation to feed child at moms house when they share 50/50.... mom has a pretty good job, shes not poor. I dont think the laws are fair for daddys at all!!
A judge will not
A judge will not automatically believe her any more than he believes your husband. For the next month keep a detailed, down to the minute, log of when the kid is in your or husbands custody and take it with him to court as evidence of what actually is happening.
The log will show where the kid was picked up or delivered. By whom (i.e. by Mom to your place or by Dad from school) and what the kids did while at your place - this gives credence that its not being made up. A hour by hour log.

100 years from now it won't matter if you were successful in business, church or your social circle. But it will matter if you were important in the life of a child.
Good advice, that is what we
Good advice, that is what we are doing here.
I don't understand why there
I don't understand why there is any child support. We have 50/50 and no money is exchanged at all. The only time is a big ticket expense like a school overnighter and then the other parent is given 1/2. Maybe the laws are better here in GA. That would drive me nuts.
