Stepdaughter's mom just cancelled
Forums:
I think it's rude that she waited until just over an hour before we were supposed to meet! I rearranged my schedule to meet with her. She said she's way too busy with work and has no free time. She doesn't know that her daughter told us that her mom just lost her job. But okay, I get it. I responded politely and left the ball in her court. I tried.
That's a good point.

From a previous post, this mother sees her daughter EOW. they have 50/50. OP is complaining that the mom doesn't take her 'visit' during dad's week.
I see where you had the best
I see where you had the best of intentions, but it really is unnecessary for you to establish a relationship with her. I'm a product of divorced parents who moved on, dated, remarried. It made absolutely no difference to me if my steps had relationships with bios. I think that would be silly.
I have never met BM. She was so full of rage over the divorce, that she threatened to kill herself when DF started to date again and would constantly interrupt his dates (not me, thankfully. she must've gotten that out of her system). Anyway, she doesn't know me, never spoke to me, hasn't met me, yet she has blocked me on Facebook and refused to go to events for her son that I would be at (his college graduation!). All this has done is remind SS20 of how much of a twerp she is..I'm sure that he couldn't care less if we were "friends", so long as we were cordial in each other's presence, didn't make things awkward/uncomfortable, and definitely didn't start drama.
Thank you. I wouldn't have
Thank you. I wouldn't have been able to maintain my relationship if she had been active in our lives. She is a very angry, spiteful person.
Good, now you can show you
Good, now you can show you tried, you were the bigger person etc etc.
Some things are just best left alone.
