both parents live in the same city. both parents are good. child lives with mom. see's dad EOW and couple nights a week. mom and stepdad are on child school records. if dad goes to school and ask's to be reconized as childs father, do they have to put him on school records? Do they have to contact mom for permission? Both parents have joint legal custady.

Delete the spam.
Dh should take the co to school and have himself added to school records. If bm was as good as you say, shed have already done that.

By the way this is my dads situation not mine...He said he was going to go to the school next week and do this. mom is a good mom just not good when it comes to the whole custady agreement with my sister. She walks all over my dad, i dont know why my dad puts up with this?

Is there a court order? What does it say? If it states he has rights to school info then I would have him take a copy of the order and tell the school he wants to be added to her school records and as an emergency contact. If they say they can't do that then have him pull out his order and show them what it says. He can then inform them that if need be he can get his attorney to verify this... He should be able to have access to her grades, mail sent to parents, etc.
