To go out or not...
Earlier this week BM told us she wouldn't take the skids NYE because she "had plans" to go out and get drunk. So DH and I made plans to stay home with SS7, SD5, and BD9mos. Little games, snacks, see how long they could stay up. We weren't real thrilled about it at the time, because of course she TOLD us this was how it was going to be, not asking us if we had any other plans, and of course, dumped them back on us yesterday afternoon with no warning.
It is now 5:45 ON NEW YEARS EVE, and she calls DH saying that she's coming by after work, she's picking up sheets for SS7 (apparently he hasn't had a bed at her place for some time now), and she wants to take the kids, since her sister can't find a sitter and neither can her current boyfriend.
So, what to do? Keep them as we were going to, or let her take them and go out?

Say no and keep them. She doesn't get to arbitrarily change the plans and by allowing it you are "teaching" her that she can get away with it. Guaranteed that next time she tries it you will not be pleased at the timing!
