Update: Good news!
After all the advice and talking with DH. we came up with a solution! I'm now back at my old job full time and DH quit his job!
He's going to stay home and take care of his own kids till he can find a local job. I'm going to work and pay the household bills till then. Then after that, there will be his money and my money.
I didn't even go home tonight! I'm spending the night at my sister's house. So DH got to worry about snacks, dinner, and bedtime for the first time. 
He's only called me twice asking me what to do. SD12 thinks she about to start the curse and had to call me b/c she had cramps. I told DH, your a dad figure it out. Then told him the truth, that she's not starting but wanting to start, that it's gas.
I hope he has fun being a stay at home Dad with his out of control kids!
I'm happy happy happy!!! I'm TOTALLY! disengaging at this moment! I feel like screaming and dancing!
It might be a few days till I can get back online again b/c of work. I'll make sure to update Saturday. Have a great week!

Disengaging is good...
Disengaging is good..but if your hubby is not a "homemaker" lookout.....this arrangement may upset him more then you realize once he is doing it for a bit. Some men are just not meant to stay at home and it makes them very, very frustrated and tempers flare more then others. Your hubby already has serious problems with his temper. I hate to damper your mood, but be prepared and BE CAREFUL.
And I agree with Cruella...you don't want someone at home that isn't actively looking for work, this could create "huge" issues.
I wish you luck, but personally I don't have a good feeling about this....sorry Skydreamer...just my opinion. I really hope it does work out for you...but...
