She never called....
My BM signed over custody to us last friday and left for NC on Sunday morning. It's Wednesday and she hasn't called SD. DH asked her if she called last night at dinner and SD just shook her head and looked at her plate.
How selfish can you be? I could strangle her. Being the mother of a 15 year old daughter myself, I just can't get my head wrapped around this. Does BM not care about this girl at all?????

sad
That is so sad for the child. If I were you I would get her into counseling. She needs someone to talk to that is impartial so she can get those tears and anger out of her system. Hopefully, couseling will get her beyond this so that she will be able to have a happy future and a family.
bless her heart
No offense against your DH, I believe hi sintentions are all good, but he may not want to ask too often right now in front of your SD if BM has called but just act very interested when she does.
This is so sad for her, children base much of their identity on their parents and the love/ security form those relationships.I hope SD will realize she is important in your family and that unfortunately not every adult has their life together, but that is not a reflection of SD but of BM.
It is s o sad.
Give her lots of love
it's so sad that someone would just up and leave a kid, especially when there isn't turmoil and chaos completely involved. To just leave is unthinkable to me. I could never leave my son, nothing in this world could ever take my mind off my son and abandon him.
Give her all the love in the world, because she is going to need it!
Hugs,
Candice
