Weirdos...
Tell me I'm not the only one that deals with this kind of weird behavior...
I do before and after school care for 7 grade school kids- starting at 6:45, and bus picks them up at 8:20, so obviously they are around skids when they are here.
Skids are SO awkward it's beyond irritating. This morning, SS16 is standing at the top of the basement steps in his towel waiting for one of the girls (4th gr) to hang her jacket up and get out of the way so he can go change in his room in the basement. He is just standing there in the doorway in his flipping towel. How uncomfortable (and inappropriate) for a little girl to have him standing there staring at her. He doesn't say a word- not "Oh I'm just waiting to go down to my room", or maybe he could've walked away and given her a second to get her stuff together.
Then after skids are ready to go, they stand in the kitchen for 10-15 minutes waiting for DH to be ready to leave. SS11 sits on the floor in the middle of the kitchen playing on his iPod. SS16 just stands by the doorway where kids are still coming in and completely in the way. Neither of them say one word to the other kids either! Not "excuse me", "good morning", "hey"....We have a 3000 sq foot house and right in the middle of all the action is where they have to plop themselves. Seriously?!?!? It might not bother me if I didn't have 7 extra kids to feed breakfast to, wrangle DS1 and keep crazy dog from running out of the door every time it opens. They just. sit. there.
I have completely disengaged from them so I kept my mouth shut, but I'll be sure to say something about the towel thing to DH- that's just inappropriate.
Same!

Well if only we could all
Well if only we could all prevent bad things from happening, we probably wouldn't need this site. The only thing I can do is make sure it doesn't happen in the future. Thanks for all the "input"- I really needed that this morning.
Get the kid a robe.

No he wasn't running late.
No he wasn't running late. This is the first time it happened. He's usually at BMs during the week when other kids are there and Sunday nights-Monday. I have no problem just telling him to get ready in the bathroom. He has his own shower downstairs but the shower is broken and a pricey fix, so that's on the back burner...
You should not have a day
You should not have a day care. As a parent, if I found out my kid was exposed to this, I would be calling the cops on you. For you to just let that happen says something more about you then your SS.
