Possessive SGD
My SGD is a young teen and I have been in her life since birth. I have always had a reasonable relationship with her, even though her mother (my SD) has always been very needy and possessive with her dad (my husband)! I have had decades of SD hanging on my husband's arm, sitting on his lap, placing herself next to him in restaurants, demanding financial and emotional support! I dealt with this by discussing it with my husband, and he has tried (though not at all effectively) to sort it out......he's a real pushover with his kids! I've also tried to avoid putting myself in SD's company too much, but now the same thing is happening all over again with SGD...she is the one to link arms with him on all occasions, whilst I am left to bring up the rear, she sits next to him at all dining occasions, etc etc....and she sulks and pouts if it doesn't happen! I can see that coping with this is quite beyond my husband, but it is making me so resentful that I feel my marriage is in danger...Help!!
So it really doesn't ever
So it really doesn't ever end...sigh....
A month from now I will have
A month from now I will have two new step grand babies. One will be a joy but she lives 1,600 miles away with a nice mom. The other will be 4 miles away and her mom is a true bitch. Let me say that again, Super bitch. Step son in law is a a--hole.
After these babies are born and my wife settles down a little over this excitement for her I will be telling her that next spring I plan on moving to a nice little town about two hours from here where the culture is more suited for me and I can enjoy my retirement years enjoying life instead of being in a constant state of depression. I will tell her I very much want her to be with me but if she refuses I will file for divorce and get on with my life and go where I want anyway. I can not stand living this way much longer and it will get much worse when the nearby baby arrives. The nasty bitch has already started on my wife not wanting her to go to nice SDs baby birth. Says doctor says hers [The Bitches] will be on time but she knows it will be earlier and her mom will be out of state when hers is born.
My wife don't realize it but it would be better for her and both SDs if we put some distance between us.
By the first of October I should know where my life is going.
Just in case anyone missed the comment I made earlier I want you know how strongly I feel about my SD that lives four miles away.
SUPER BITCH - - SUPER BITCH - - SUPER BITCH
I need to go get a shower and get my mind elsewhere - My blood pressure is rising!
I thank you Cat and all the
I thank you Cat and all the others for the wisdom and help in my decision making.
If I do not proceed with my plan I think my life will be cut short.
Oh yes it goes on and on! And
Oh yes it goes on and on! And there is another baby SGD waiting in the wings so we can go through it all for a third time...heaven help me!
Think about it. Its the
Think about it. Its the recessive female gene. They learned it from there mothers so they pass it to their daughters.
'Entitled' is such a good way
'Entitled' is such a good way to describe SD's! Their thinking goes 'You left us, you're with another woman, you will pay.....for the rest of your life'!! Thing is, my parents split when I was 19, but I can't remember ever feeling entitled, even when Dad eventually married another woman, I always got on with her, and made sure my kids respected her, I also made sure I gave Dad and her space when we were all together!
