BM did something STRANGE...opinions please?

Ok so it was my bday recently and BM is FB friends with DH and I. She had SD5 call me to wish me a happy birthday which was nice, she did not have to do that. WELL the next day she text me saying she hoped I had a great bday and that I looked beautiful in(what I was wearing she described my outfit, lip color, etc) and said DH and I also look beautiful as a couple. "2 thumbs up :))))" While I appreciate the gesture, I just think this was very bizarre and overreaching. Mind you this came from the same person who told DH a month ago that she "can't stand your wife with a passion" so ppl tell me...is she nuts or just overly trying to be nice?

thanks guys... i totally feel its fake, my boss thinks in the back of her mind she saw the pic and thought that "should've and could've been me" I just think texting me was so unnecessary. saying happy birthday is nice enough.

Hopefully someone called her out on her hatred of you and she is trying to be a better person for the skids. ETA: I know this is probably HIGHLY unlikely.
My exh wanted to be friends and trashed every relationship I have had since our divorce. (When FDH and I started dating he flipped out and I cut off all contact)
He then wanted me to be happy when he got engaged and threw a toddler size tantrum when I didn't gush all over FB. Ummm exh, you were talking about adopting my DD and getting remarried while you slept with psycho and then when psycho stalked me and slandered me you told me I was crazy. You said psycho didn't like us to be friends so I did not comment on things out of respect for psycho's feelings and because I was worried she would actually show up on my doorstep and hurt me or take DD as she has threatened before. YOU CAN'T PLEASE THE CRAZY PEOPLE! Smile and nod and move on.
