My stepsons play too much

So I have 11 and 12 year old stepsons. Anytime when in the car or out in public, they're conducting they're own live action video game. I constantly have to hear about health points, damage points, rpg's, different guns, militia mode. Is this normal behavior? I had to listen to this for 8 years, and it gets really annoying. They play to the exclusion of their own safety because they're so wrapped in destroying their make believe opponents.

We have already talked to them about it many times. Going to have a sit down conversation tonight as we have had enough.

Actually, they're not allowed to play video games period. They have been banned from playing any video games. What I am wondering about is the constant role playing at this age normal? They're the type that can find playing with a stick fun.

I can tell you this, they never go to their friends' houses or their father's place because he left them for good. They don't even call their own friends I have to call them because they can be perfectly content playing with each other. I can honestly say that I don't remember them just having a normal conversation with each other. It's always them playing make believe.

11 and 12, you say?

As they're both about to discover females in about ten seconds, all you have to do is subtly drop a hint that women hate gamers and this problem solves itself.
