No WONDER Skids Were/Are Always LATE to School!

Caught a post by the Girhippo, StepDaddyBigBucks and their "married" friends who used to be the Girhippo and Chef's married friends about how they are unable to wake up YSS (14.5) to go to school in the morning.

Both YSS and SD (stb 19) had about 22 tardies in a period of 2 1/2 months (not including cutting class altogether).

Well the friend posted about this "fantastic new walking alarm clock" for YSS. The Girhippo revealed that she would NOT get this for YSS because both she and StepDaddyBigBucks work nights and their bedroom is right below YSS's.

I can only imagine that they let YSS and SD stay up well past midnights on weekdays and then are unable to rouse him for school the next morning. And it's a well known fact that they have let SD do sleepovers at friend's houses practically every day during the week--you can imagine how much school work DOESN'T get done. None of the skids ever had bedtimes when they were visiting--we had to establish them at our house.

Coupled with the fact that the skids are emotionally and socially well below average--a good 4 to 5 years at least.

Also confirms that the Girhippo quit her CPS job to work as a waitress at the local casino to reduce her income for "free" college for SD.

Well it's always been the Girhippo's goal to be the next Food Network star. She has a failed bakery and catering business (still listed in the phone book apres bankruptcy), a "soup in caldrons" biz where she sells soup to. . . .drum roll please. . ..wait for it. . ...WINERIES!
She's offloaded that biz onto Battleaxe Galactica (BM's BM)who is getting up in years.

I believe she thinks that being a waitress in a 3 1/2 star restaurant at a casino is as close a brush to greatness as she'll achieve.

This is the same GUBM who led OSS (stb 21) to believe he was going to have a career as a rock star.

She has more pipe dreams than you can shake a stick at.

Plus she gets to reduce her income to fall under the income qualification level for "free college."

So far not a PEEP on FB about community college from SD. She hasn't even changed her status to "attending Podunk NY Community College."

Is it possible to drop out of college in the first week?

OH and more scuttlebutt: Chef has a customer who loaned the Girhippo's family LOTS and LOTS of cash for the smoothie truck that OSS used to work for. Seems they have absconded with the money and closed down the business.

WTF?? Who quits their government job (granted if she's been there long enough, she's vested in the retirement system.. but still!) to be a waitress at a casino? And also, I know you are in same state as me, so college is free, or does SD not want to agree to staying in state for 3 years?? I can't imagine she'll go far from the (hornet's) nest.. so I don't get quitting your job to get "aid" when you could go to college for free???

ETA: Oh never mind. I'm being blonde. I forgot that college is free only under a certain household income, so probably with BM income and her husbands, they are over the threshold? Still... to quit my good paying job with great benefits for a child who barely graduated from high school and has zero motivation... is beyond what I would be willing to do.

Money is big and it's cash AND they only claim small min server wage---maybe 2.10 an hour.

Lots of bm do this so it appears they cant pay the light bill. CS goes WAY up for ncp.

I heard it all the time when I was a server. I AM A SINGLE MOM and I cannt pay my car insurance this month OR the light bill. :sick: This is the stuff they would tell some customers. too.
