UGH right back in it!
It has been a pleasant week - skids on vacation with MOTY.
Back just one day and right back into it again.
I just don't get it or how to fix it. No matter what myself or SO does or says it's the same shit. The disrespect, the huge mess, the laziness and the entitlement.
I swear, 2 hours after breakfast and yelling then cleaning up the mess and dishes ourselves they ask what's for lunch. Again another mess and cleaning up. Then the stupid toys even the older kids playing with toys!! They break them, lose pieces and then scatter them throughout the house without a care in the world. Again yelling and cleaning it up ourselves. It's a winless battle. Because they don't give a shit, they leave and the punishment stops.
Just for instance - one step walks into the house after a week being gone and literally walks over to my BD's balloon and pops it. Purposefully. And has zero response as to why or remorse.
And don't get me started about the dogs. They let them in and out and in and out of the house. We tell them to stop and as soon as we leave the room they are back at it again. Which just relates to more cleaning because the puppy doesn't have time to relieve herself before she is called back in again. It has literally taken me 9 months to house train a dog because of this shit. It's constant.
Can you tell I am at the edge ready to explode! Ugh!!!!!!!!!

SO does discipline however BM
SO does discipline however BM is a crazy narcissist and tells them they don't need to listen and just 'come tell Mommy' and she will make it all go away. So discipline is nearly impossible. Do have court hearing this week hopefully to establish one week on one off in and stop this every other day nonsense.
SO has concluded that if he is not awarded that schedule he will only take every other 4 day weekend due to this bullshit.
Why does your SO allow them
Why does your SO allow them to not clean up after themselves???
Do they have no consequences?
Do they have no consequences? No respect or healthy fear of the adults in their lives? Does your SO not discipline them or make them clean up?
If they're old enough and you
If they're old enough and you live in a relatively safe area then I saw let them eat breakfast then send them outside (DH too) and lock the door behind them. They can come back inside at Dinner time. Yep, you read that right-skip lunch or bring out some sandwiches with drinks on the porch/steps/picnic blanket for them to eat. Clean your house, maybe even bring your kids outside too for a little bit. I know when SS5 has company over during the Summer they destroy his bedroom and then start making their way into the living room and kitchen because they've run out of room. I have to shoo them back in there. It's easier on me and the house to go somewhere and let them loose then come home for food and bed.
Yup rule today was everyone
Yup rule today was everyone outside. I am deep cleaning and they leave tonight so hopefully it will stay relatively near at least for a short while. And don't get me wrong we have 3 of our kids with us full time so it isn't just 'oh they are kids'. It's respect for your environment and a piss poor attitude that's the issue. It's actually sad because if BM would just parent they kids wouldn't be an issue.
I put a stop to that - in the
I put a stop to that - in the beginning they would sit at the table and demand the adults get them stuff such as drinks or condiments etc.
My response was 'get a job then you can hire your own maid but for now do it yourself'.
It drove me CRAZY!!!!
But now I have an entirely new issue and it all boils down to the lack of parenting and alienation by a crazy narcissistic BM.
