The pup saga continues
DH texted me that Puke's(sd16) pup chased someone in their neighborhood down the street and the city was called. BM has to get the pup it's shots (this wasn't done?!) and build a new fence. Neither of which she says she can afford so they may have to re-home the pup. (Thinking pup was trying to run away from the cra-cra)
Now, I'm just waiting for Puke to ask DH to take it. (Hopefully she isn't that stupid.) Or BM will find the money and then say she doesn't have the money for gas to meet on the next visit. Or this is just a BS story cuz they want to get rid of the pup. Or make up your own story.

I can't believe they hadn't already gotten the required shots. I believe those start at 3 months. Just shows how stupid BM is.

I disagree.

I don't for a minute believe that BM was ordered to erect a fence, though. I've never heard of anywhere that had a law that you had to have a fence to own a dog. I think that's going to be BM's excuse for "they are FORCING Me to build a fence that I can't afford so the dog HAS to go!"
They were probably told that
They were probably told that if the dog is outside the home it has to be kept on their property, and a fence was suggested as a good way to do that.

Well, like I said it quite possibly be complete BS. I'll know more when I talk with DH about it tonight. Didn't get the whole story via text.
Some cities do have
Some cities do have ordinances that pertain only to certain breeds - usually pit bulls (or other "aggressive" breeds. If someone owns that kind of a dog in the city, they have to meet certain requirements - which often include a fenced kennel or yard.

Well it seems that in the city where puke lives you have to get a permit and have get certainly shots. Sounds like there is city ordinance regarding the fence. BM has 30 days to comply. Dog will be re-homed.

Very high energy with a strong herding instinct. Probably chased someone because they ran, not to be mean. A dog like that needs lots of exercise, which I bet she isn't getting. Hope they do re-home to someone who understands the breed.

It doesn't seem like puke is
It doesn't seem like puke is too heartbroken about losing the pup. No breakdowns or hysterical phone calls. We all knew that the pup wouldn't last long for puke. Especially me when I found out the breed. It's not a calm, low maintenance dog and puke doesn't have the stamina for active animals. Too much work.
But even after all that she'll want another dog in a year or two and BM will eventually break down and get one. I've seem it happen so many times.
