Last night we had ss12's Christmas concert..

We were sitting there waiting for it to start and the choir teacher walks up to us and says "hi, aren't you ss12's father" and then goes on to say "ss12 is so full of energy and I can tell his medicine kicks in right in the middle of my class" (I'm sitting there trying not to laugh my ass off because I know what she is getting at).. she then goes on to say "my oldest son has ADD and he was a challenge, but once we worked with the psychiatrist and got things in order he was fine.. with ss12, I just make him sit in the hall until his meds kick in and he is ready to settle down and be a part of the class"...

OMG.. I think DH was a little embarrassed.. he looked at me like "did that really just happen?"

I just sat there and said "I think she was politely telling you he is a pain in the ass" - which is exactly what all of his teachers said at conferences last month.

Lol.. just had to giggle on this.. enjoy!

She didn't announce it... it was a private conversation.. Sure, probably not the best time and place - I get that.. but it wasn't like she was trying to start a shit storm... it was also probably her only opportunity to do so on the down low since you typically don't have parent teacher conferences with choir teachers.

OMG.. LMAO

you guys are a trip..

Yes, I too think the teach was just doing her job and giving us a heads up..

Sure.. maybe it wasn't the perfect time and place, but oh well.. what other opportunity was there?

And also.. uhmmm.. how did she know he was on meds? Uh, maybe because ss12 has learned to use this as an excuse - as he tried to do regarding his screwing around in the last period of the day... "oh, my meds wore off and I can't concentrate" - nope. It's time released and we can tell at home when they wear off - he gets all screwy and craves sugar.
