Lamborghini Step Life
This full moon evening I thought you could all use some light-hearted update humor.
SD15 Backstabber/Munchkin has been a bit more Munchkin lately. Her father was at a wedding rehearsal for a wedding he is in tomorrow evening, a very last minute notification. (someone is NOT doing their job!) So knowing that SD15 B/M is home for her week, and knowing that she doesnt really cook, not wanting to cook myself, I called her to place an order for us at a favorite place. "check out the menu and get me this and then get yourself what you want", kind of thing. I was driving and it was ready when I got there after work.
I get home, she and I munch some dinner and then she and I are chatting. Like old times. About something that happened today regarding a man with a gun and police standoff, near to where I work, actually a few strees over. No one was killed. It was a man and his ex girlfriend arguing about their child and he broke into her home. There were negotiators and police barricades. Ok so thats not the humorous part.
She then started discussing her friends who are "children of divorce" (COD I mutter) and how they are going through such a horrible time with their parents and stepparents. I flippantly added "oh so good - you have friends who can relate to your issues!"
Her reply was "OH NO! I have such a better time of it than them. Its like when your friends all have beat up cars and you have a lamborghini, you arent going to complain about the scratch you have on your nice car when they are working hard just to get theirs running!" And then she details how one friend has a bi-polar mother AND step-father, and one is on suicide watch with her mother...
Ok, so typing that out, it doesnt sound that light and funny...
But - hey it was a nice thing to hear that I am lamborghini-ish.

It's nice
It's nice that Munchkin compares you to a Lamborghini. My SD would probably compare me to a run-down tank. Lol.
Just be careful to not get
Just be careful to not get drawn back in. Keep it light and fluffy. Don't let her manipulate you.
I hear ya
Loud and clear! Light AND fluffy...
shes been staying in her room talking on the phone to Kansas City. And I leave her ALONE.
