Appropriate Attire?
So, my 13 year old SD has started wearing "panties" and a long t-shirt in the common areas of our house. By "panties" I mean they're technically volleyball shorts but are so small and short that they are the size of boy short cut panties. They aren't just short jean shorts or athletic shorts. They seriously look like panties.
Apparently, biomom allows her to wear this type of outfit around her house, out in public, and possibly even to school. I am really uncomfortable with it, especially since SD will sit on the floor with her legs open. I understand that this is a new fashion trend called VSCO, and couldn't care less if that's what she wants to wear to bed. I'm not trying to tell her what to do or to change her style. To me, it's a matter of manners and decency. Frankly, I'm confused as to why she isn't embarrassed to wear basically panties in front of other people -- especially her Dad.
Is dressing this way in common areas of the house inappropriate, or am I overreacting?
Your house, your rules.
Your house, your rules. Enforce them.

It’s a sad fashion at the moment. I hate it. I have 5 pre teen/teen girls in my house all of them wear these....their are Nike pros but they are just basically what you described.
Just I got over this horrible fad...SD16 started parading around in her underwear and that I don’t get....even with a pad on during her period WTF??? What 16 year old girl does this?
I get what you mean, but at least she's wearing a PAD! And at
least she still needs one and isn't pregnant. I guess those are the silver linings to walking around showing her moon to everyone.
