They call me The Enforcer.
We have a rule in our house that if we make it, you have to try it. If you don't like it, fine, no one likes everything but you have to try it to find out IF you like it or not.
This marks an hour and a half of SS3 sitting at the table sobbing because he won't try his food. He's never had it before, EVER. He likes salmon, he likes corn, he likes potatoes, and he's never tried mushrooms before. There is nothing that he could have possibly identified as something he doesn't like. And yet, he's still sitting there crying because we insist he try something.
SS3 "DADDY!!! DADDY!!!"
SO (totally monotone) "What SS?"
SS3 "I don't like it!!"
SO "You haven't even tried it"
And repeat for an hour and a half.
I'm actually very proud of my SO. He usually folds by now but he's held his ground. He's playing a video game so he doesn't have to hear his 'little buddy' cry. Whatever makes you feel better, SO. It doesn't bother me at all to hear him cry, just the sound of Moby's twisted rules being broken to me.
In other new, Moby still hasn't reported to jail but she has been on Facebook. My dreams of her being hospitalized in a coma were shot but that means she's purposely NOT going to jail. A friend of mine and I made a bet. I bet she'll be caught and sent to jail in 7 days, she bets she'll be caught and sent to jail in 7 to 14 days. Dinner for whoever wins!

8:42 pm, SS3 went to bed without a fight after the shortest bath known to man. BS8m has 2 more teeth coming in, that's 8 teeth in exactly 3 weeks. The last two or three days have been the worst but all in all, not the end of the world I thought it was going to be.
To my darling SO (who BY THE WAY got me a $100 gift card to a spa for Mother's Day) well played sir, well played.

LOL! Love this- "well played sir, well played". I ended up with something similar from my DH. Spa gift certificate and clothes gift cards (from the skids-uh huh). They suddenly remembered at dinner it was Mother's day and I'm the Mother around here. Well played DH, well played! They'd actually gotten cards and thought about doing something for me Friday and picked out gifts but that two days in between...
Daddy needed to be more on the ball, but ended up o.k.
